You never get equal value for an all-nba guy in a trade. Chicago could've done a lot worse dealing Butler. Let's see what they do with that #16. They need a young big that went to the wolves in the trade |

minny gave up all their guard depth. Gotta be something else in the works. Neither butler or Wiggins is exactly a sg and Rubio is constantly underwhelming Butler can defend the 2. Most teams don't have a quality 2, anyway. And they've tried for 3 years to trade Rubio and can never find a taker, so they're stuck with him. |

Bulls trade their 2nd round pick for cash. That 2nd round pick was all that was left from the Luol Deng trade as they waived Bynum to clear money. So they literally traded Deng for money. During a "rebuild" where you want to stock up assets. If I want to see Noah, Rose, Taj, and Butler play again in the future, I will be giving my money to the Milwaukee Bucks. Bulls don't even deserve 2-3 games worth of mine.

NOPE I think once Wade said he was opting in, that kind of blew the chances at really getting anybody in FA. To me, going into rebuild mode looks like the right move. And they've got some good pieces to try and build around, and if they don't show promise, they'll have a ton of cap space next offseason. |
