GOAT-level Dominance is also measured in championships. Not 1, not 2, not 3... I've really tried this season to enjoy what LeBron is. He's a once in a lifetime talent. He's definitely pulled some bish moves..but his numbers are what they are. He'll retire and immediately be in everyone's top 5, and probably top 2-3. Regardless of how it's happened, he's on the brink of possibly making his 9th straight finals. I've really tried to take a step back, away from the lashing of "he'll never be MJ," and just watch him play and wow. Still don't like the guy Gotta correct myself, this will be his 8th straight finals. You look at what the Lakers and Celtics did in the 80's of getting to the Finals, LeBron has done it EIGHT TIMES in this decade. Unbelievable You add Hayward and/or Kyrie and this series is probably over in 5-6 games.

I think the fact that only 7 guys played tonight, and (I believe) the last 3 games of the series, took their shooting away. The reason the Celtics made it as far as they did is because everyone was a threat. Brown, Smart, and especially Rozier stopped hitting threes. I thought Morris was who he was/is the whole series. It'll be fun to be a Celtics fan next year for sure

How do you not like the GUY?!? Like it's absurd that people are so got damn childish about admitting someone is better than their "hero" or whatever. The GUY is a extraordinary philanthropist, married and is still with his sweetheart and ain't had to buy a $4 million dollar purple ring to keep her, had NEVER had a teammate speak badly of him and is overly generous and gracious to both the fans and media. He's 1000 times better as a MAN than ANY of these so called selfish prick hero's and ONLY blind ignorance and hatred will make you say he's not better than them ON the court. Regarding championships he has 3 with 2 different teams and has reached his 8th straight finals as the only person on both teams! He has a higher winning percentage than Jordan despite playing with lesser talent! Seriously guys, you don't have to cheer for him and his team but call it what it is... 🐐

Jason Tatum is the TRUTH though. He puts on a little weight and improves his stamina he's going to be unstoppable.
I hate to have to give Danny credit but he has pretty much nailed it since blowing up their last big 3. Patience paid off and he's drafted right. Brown and tatum are both superstars and if smart could buy a jumper he would be too. Remarkable season for them not having the established stars but these guys are better with higher ceilings.
Gonna be fun watching Lakers vs Celtics again the next 10 years!

I want to say that the Celtics choked last night with the way that their offense completely stalled, but when you look at the fact that they're being led by a bunch of young guys who aren't supposed to be ready and their vets are hurt, you realize how good this team can be.

Wilt Chamberlain. Not a lot of people want to consider him the GOAT, but he's very similar to LeBron and could be in the conversation. There was always something about Wilt that people didn't like. Ridge is very correct to point out that LBJ is a great dude outside of basketball. But like Wilt, there's something about him in the game that people don't like.

But things like "the Decision" and the various complaining he's done about his teams through the years stick with him in my mind. Now if those are the worst things he's ever done, then he's been a heck of a role model. But sorry, it's hard for me to look past that lol.

All the drama of this season.
All the trades and player movement.
All the hype of new young players.
And it still ends with Warriors Cavs.
Maybe I'll just start watching hockey.

U guys think Rockets wouldda won series had cp3 not gotten hotsauced? Rockets lost because they got away from their gameplan. Yes, their gameplan involves taking a lot of threes and they missed a lot of threes lats night, but their gameplan involves created uncontested threes. I'm going to see if I can find the stats on how many were contested last night vs how many were contested during the regular season. Harden definitely struggled without Paul because the Warriors figured him out. It was very evident in the second half when many of his passes were stolen. They knew exactly where he was going with the ball every time.

Harden definitely struggled without Paul because the Warriors figured him out. It was very evident in the second half when many of his passes were stolen. They knew exactly where he was going with the ball every time. Regular Season: Rockets 3PT Shooting with defender 2-4ft away (contested)Rockets 3PT Shooting with Defender 4-6ft away (open)Notice that Harden is the only one who really forces threes while contested. But that's his game. He gets his shots off the dribble and it works for them. With shooters open, you see that there are significantly more attempts by other players. This is their gameplan. PnR, drive inside. If the help defense comes, dish to the open shooter. Conference Finals: Rockets 3PT Shooting with defender 2-4ft away (contested)Rockets 3PT Shotting with defender 4-6ft away OpenNotice the jump in contested attempts in the WCF. Credit Kerr and the Warriors for forcing them to take contested shots. The open shots looks similar, but if you do the math, they are actually way down. Losing CP3 for 2 games could have a hand in this.

most of Ariza's were pretty much uncontested and he went 0-9 from 3 Well, that could be because Trevor Ariza sucks at 3s. He's a career 35% shooter and was 2/14 7/35 in the series.
