It’s an odd year watching the nba, period. Things that still weird me out: Lebron in purple and gold Dwight’s fall from relevance The spurs being mediocre Everything about fultz Seems like there’s more power struggles than ever Still miss sager Budenholzer coaching the bucks to prolific offense (after the kids debacle) Rockets ‘fall’ (they’ll be ok) Howard hasn't been relevant for several years. The Fultz saga is interdasting. I'd really like to see Phoenix trade Bender for him and see if he can get his career on track.

To be fair, kdjs has picked up Iman Shumpert twice this season, so he might be a little behind the NBA news cycle

He did blatantly grab Isaiah canaans cock and balls a few years ago It also explains why he’s missed so many games this season with a sore ass

As much as this news about Dwight wouldn't surprise me, it sounds like Mr. Elije has a bit of a credibility issue.

Grunfeld has handed out generous contracts that have not held their value. Wall has a four-year, $164 million extension that kicks in next year (he’ll make $19 million this year). His backcourt mate, Beal — the two have acknowledged their on-court dislike of each other — has two years and $56 million on his deal after this season. Ask around among front-office executives, and it’s not merely the size of the contracts for the top three Wizards that is frightening. It’s that improvement among the three has been minimal during their time in Washington. – via Sporting News Bradley Beal, John Wall, Washington Wizards
“It’s not where you want to see a guy go to get development,” one executive said. “I don’t think they’re bad guys, but they must be frustrated. Beal has gotten better, but he does a lot of work on his own, not with the team. Otto Porter does some nice things, good role player, but he has been the same player for the last three years, really. He could be better if he were somewhere else. And Wall, the game passed him by. He has had nine years to learn to shoot, and he still can’t shoot. I can’t go to my coach and tell him we are getting a starting point guard who can’t shoot. Not for $40 million a year.” – via Sporting News

The Howard butthurt jokes will never get old. I kinda don't want him to come back.

James Jones is too busy trying to do favors for Lebron to make any sensible deals

Washington is screwed. They can't trade any of those guys and have it be a sensible deal considering there isn't a market for any of them really.
Porter is the best fit on other teams but his contact will make the return not worth it.
Gonna be a long year in DC...

No GM who wants to keep his job is going to give them equal value for any of those guys. Tr@peMachine HUMMING!

Wizards = trying to give away massive contracts including a solid pg Suns = desperately trying to get a starting pg, and an owner who claims to be done losing Wall is gonna end up as a Sun by the new year. If they can dump the big contracts of Anderson and Ariza (who cant be traded til dec 15), get Wall, free up more playing time for Bridges in the process, it might not be the worst thing in the world. Play the long game and go hard for Durant this summer.

I can't see your owner giving up multiple picks and that's what this will boil down to. And I imagine while they have the cap space NOW for wall it could turn into an issue in 2 years when you've given raises to the young guys. IDK. But if I'm Washington and you can get Phoenix to say yes I'm clicking accept IMMEDIATELY!!! I DO know there is no way in EARTH the Lakers are parting with our Cap space for Bradley Beal.

Long term it’s a terrible move. But Sarver wants to WIN NOW and it sure feels like he’s ready to undo all the asset gathering McDonagh did and swing for a star to fix the short term issues.
