Butler trade to 76ers is terrible for the Wolves. They basically traded Lavine, Markannen, Dunn for Saric and Covington. In hindsight, this was a terrible trade for them, and they will go back to the days of not winning anything whatsoever. The smart move would have been to continue building with Thibs and Butler, while shipping off Towns and Wiggins, who still have good trade value, for some reason.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Carmelo Anthony’s brief stop with the Houston Rockets is over, league sources tell ESPN. Anthony will part ways with team, although there are no immediate plans to place 10-time All-Star on waivers. Team announcement is expected before Rockets play Golden State tonight. – via Twitter wojespn

Dumb ish. The 29-year-old Whiteside reportedly purchased an M16 assault rifle with ammunition, a silencer and a rifle bag for the low, low price of $50,000 on July 6 this offseason, according to 640 AM radio host Andy Slater.
Per the report, Whiteside’s next move was to drive to the University of Miami for a workout. When he returned home the next day, he discovered the weapon was missing. After an investigation by police, it was determined that the gun was stolen when Whiteside left it in his unlocked Rolls Royce at the gun store.
The rifle was reportedly discovered weeks later in a stolen car in North Miami.

Except the gun was used to kill a wealthy real-estate mogul that had beef with Whiteside.

The smart move would've been to trade both the young guys and build around a selfish, temperamental, injury prone older player and the idiot that has run the legs off said player and other all NBA players? Only a freaking Homer would say that. Excellent deal for Minny as saric is tough, skilled and versatile while Covington was first team all defense. Get off Butler and thibbs jock not only are they not worth it but they landed you 2 all Stars in return for your rebuild. The bulls are going to be TERRIFYING to play against starting next year...

Let's see, those two young guys have never lead the Wolves to a playoff appearance or anything closely resembling winning. Enter Jimmy Butler, who starts leading the Wolves to some wins. Butler gets injured, Minnesota is suddenly out of a playoff spot, because these supposed young star players can't lead the team to any wins. Butler returns, Minnesota makes a comeback and clinches a playoff spot.

John Henson out 12 weeks with torn ligament in his wrist which required surgery. Caris Levert could possibly be back sooner. Wild.

AR-15 <> M16 From what I've heard $50k is the going rate for an M16 (how that's even possible for a civilian to own, I'll never understand).

Wife used to, which means I sometimes had to. I did enjoy the ridiculousness of only wealthy people being killed in the morning and major murders being solved with science before lunchtime.

The story, which was posted shortly before tip-off, cited unnamed league sources who said the organization is growing frustrated with Joerger over the allocation of minutes for some of the team’s young players, most notably prized rookie Marvin Bagley III. Members of the Kings’ front office quickly went to work to respond to the story. General manager Vlade Divac issued a brief statement about two hours after the report surfaced. “Dave has our full support and confidence,” Divac said. “We continue to work together to develop our young core and compete.” – via Sacramento Bee

You are sick of being too lazy to set your own lineups? I've relied on autostart in fantasy since Yahoo added it a several years ago. But I ALWAYS go through it and make sure it didn't put stars on the bench and injured guys in the lineup.
