If I'm GSW, do I showcase Cousins and then try to trade him to a tanking team? Any team just about can take on his contract. Could get a top 3 pick for him. GSW can't re-sign him to a big contract because they don't have his bird rights(correct?). But a team with an irrate fan base may be willing to take the risk.
And if GSW figures they're ish out, they're still the favorites to win it all with or without Cousins.

What a mess. There's even more to the story lmao They should have known better than to hire a sentient thumb They didn’t hire him he was an assistant coach. The bulls are just so cheap they want him to finish out his contract as head coach.

He's an interim, who they probably were hoping could end up being an actual candidate for the job when it was all said and done.

Jimmy Butler: “We’re literally just talking, and then somebody says: ‘You’re gonna practice.’ Now, first of all, I have a for-real problem with authority. When somebody’s telling me what to do as a grown man, I have a problem with it. So now you done lit the match, but ain’t nothin’ on fire yet. You just lit the match. I was like: ‘First of all, you’re not going to tell me what I’m gonna do. If I choose to practice, I’ll choose to practice.’ And I’m like: ‘Nah, I don’t know just yet.’ And then he was like: ‘No, you’re gonna practice.’ Now you’re getting that fire a little too close to me, so I’m like: ‘Let me tell you something, if I’m going to practice, I’ll come off the bench, like I’ll play with this second group if I want to as long as I’m out there in practice.’ Boom. This person goes: ‘No, you’re gonna play with the starters.’ There you go. You did got me now. No I’m not. I’m gonna play with the third-stringers, now what? I’m telling them I don’t think it’s a good idea to do it, because I know whenever I go in there, I’m trying to basically just prove a point. I was on one, there you go. I was on one. All because he lit the match. I would’ve been cool otherwise.” – via The Ringer

I'm sure everyone hopes the guy they hire as an interim ends up being the long term solution. They won't keep him though, unless he changes his stance and especially if he can regain the trust of the players. That last part is going to be extremely difficult and that's why I think he will be gone.

@phil how concerned are u over Maserati’s inaccuracy?! I'm not going to say that I have no concern over it, but I don't worry about it at the moment. His Tampa Bay game wasn't a one off, because he delivered a great game against the Lions with accurate throws. I think he just needs to get comfortable playing out there. It's not like when he misses that he misses in every kind of way. Almost every time it's because he overthrows the ball. As good as we have been this season, I am still treating this as a developmental year. I will consider this season a huge success if we can win a playoff game. Next season is when I want to see this team seriously make a run for the Super Bowl. If mid point next season Trubisky is still overshooting guys regularly, I will become unsettled. I will say this though, Mitch is kind of the perfect QB candidate to be the one who just gets hot in the playoff on a Superbowl run. He has the ability, he just doesn't have the game to game consistency. I'm not expecting it, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Great players push those around them to be better. His methods may not always be right but, his intentions are pure. Wiggins is satisfied being good, not great. KAT remains to be seen.

I read KCP has trade veto and there is zero mutual interest with him and the suns Lebron needs to throw James Jones a bone for giving him Chandler It's not our fault the Suns were incapable of using him correctly and winning games. I'm dreading the thought of bringing in ariza like he really finna be the KD stopper. Wtf how him, LeBron and creamella gonna share the court together!? Definitely don't want to give up a real asset and I'm a big fan of bonga. Kcp and a late second lol #LAKERS

Dinwiddie also has been linked with the point guard-needy Suns. Phoenix now reportedly is looking at a three-way deal that would send Trevor Ariza to the Lakers and ship Los Angeles’ Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to a third team in order to get them their guard. – via New York Post

I can't see KCP allowing a trade to CLE for Burks, so it may be to BK for Dinwiddie. Can't think of any other spots with a surplus of PGs, that would be an acceptable destination. Maybe the Nix or Wiz for Satoransky, or Philly for TJ. But I think they'd rather move Fultz.

He should prolly try putting a winning product in the floor
