Trading for Nick Foles, and taking on his massive salary, is just the latest version of the Bears' questionable quarterback evaluations. And there's no clear indication that he'll be able to beat out Mitchell Trubisky. The moves for Robert Quinn and Jimmy Graham won't pull this out of the fire, either. Jimmy Graham signing seems pretty damn stupid. I do like the Quinn signing though. He basically replaces Leonard Floyd's salary 1 for 1, but is a better player and will take advantage of the double teams Mack and Hicks see (something Floyd struggled with). Bears also have a hole at SS and CB2 and bolstering the pass rush even further really helps cover whatever deficiencies the cheaper alternatives at those positions will have. I'm iffy on Foles. I didn't want Jameis or Bridgewater at all, wasn't hoping for Foles or Cam either. Probably prefer Foles of the two though. Dalton or Keenum would have been the best choices in my opinion. Foles goes back to the RPO with a bunch of coaches he's familiar with from his time with the Eagles and Chiefs, so it's possible he can produce decently enough. I think "C" would have been the best grade here. |

Is Hardaway being treated unfairly? I'm not sure the LGBTQ community is as set against him as the Hall of Fame is.
